On Rope 1 participates in numerous caving events throughout the year. Below is a schedule of upcoming events for 2008. We will continue to update these as more information becomes available. If you have an event that you would like listed please let us know by emailing info@onrope1.com.

06-06-08: SERA Cave Carnival: Hosted by the Mountain Empire Grotto, the 57th SERA Cave Carnival will be held near the Bristol International Speedway in Bristol, TN. Please go to http://www.caves.org/region/sera/CaveCarn.htm for updates and pre-registraion forms.
07-17-08: Karst O Rama: The Greater Cincinnati Grotto’s yearly caving festival will be held at the Great Saltpeter Cave Preserve in Mt. Vernon, KY, from July 17 - 20, 2008.
08-11-08: NSS Convention: Convention will be at Lake City Community College in Lake City, FL this year. See the convention website at www.nss2008.com for online registration. On Rope 1 will be an inside vendor at convention.
08-28-08: Old Timers Reunion: A Labor Day classic in affiliation with The Robertson Association. (Membership required) This event will take place at the OTR site in Daily, West Virginia.
10-09-08: TAG: OR1 will be attending TAG on the mountain. TAG will be the second weekend in October, from Oct. 9th through the 12th. Check the DCG website for pre-registration information.
10-18-08: Bridge Day: The annual B.A.S.E. jump and rappel at the New River Gorge Bridge. On Rope 1 will have a small vending area set-up at Passages to Adventure on Friday. Please give us a call ahead of time (before Thursday!) if there is something specific you need us to bring. For specific information on the Bridge Day Rappel please click here.
