Clem Akins:
Clem has been passionate about ropework for well over 20 years, and
doing it professionally for the last five. He is an NFPA-Certified
Rope Technician, a Level III industrial rope access supervisor, and
has trained as a mountain and cave rescue rigger. In addition to his
love of teaching rope skills he enjoys working in the field; he is
active on one of the country's premier Cave/Cliff rescue teams and
works in various construction, inspection and advisory
capacities. When not on the job Clem can be found rock climbing,
cavin
g, canoeing and traveling as far
abroad as he can possibly
get--such as
Madagascar, New Zealand, and the geographic
North Pole.
